IPA Convex 2022: Elnusa Strengthens Capabilities & Capacity,Offers Integrated Migas & Energy Support

Jakarta, September 26, 2022 - PT Elnusa Tbk (ELNUSA, IDX: ELSA), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi in the upstream-downstream energy service sector, particularly oil and gas, is committed to strengthening the capability and capacity of technology and human resources to respond to industry challenges and needs. Capability and capacity enhancement is carried out by developing products and services through three business segments, namely upstream oil and gas services, energy distribution and logistics services, and oil and gas support services.

"To strengthen the capability and capacity of the business segment, we are also collaborating with external parties, through various corporate strategic alliances as a short-term answer for key clients," said Mohammad Fahran Irsadi, Marketing Strategic Manager of Elnusa, while speaking at the PHE booth. at the 46th IPA Convention Exhibition in Jakarta, Thursday (22/9/2022).

He explained, in each business segment, Elnusa has the capability and capacity and can compete with other players in the same industry. In the Upstream Oil and Gas service segment, there are four Elnusa competencies with capable capabilities and capacities. Through the Geoscience & Reservoir Services (GRS) line, Elnusa has the ability to acquire and process seismic and geological, geophysical and reservoir data.

"In the well intervention services line, Elnusa has the capability and capacity in cementing services, coiled tubing services, well testing services, electric wireline logging, and electric submersible pumps," he said.

Meanwhile in the drilling and workover services line, Elnusa has capabilities in hydraulic workover drilling services, drilling rig services, drilling support mud & chemical mud logging services. As for the EPC and Operation Maintenance Services lines, Elnusa has the capacity and capability in engineering, procurement & construction, operation and maintenance, and turnaround. "All services offered to the upstream business are also quite complete, from exploration to exploitation," he said.

In the Downstream and Oil and Gas Support segment, Elnusa's capacity and capability is carried out through five subsidiaries, namely PT Sigma Cipta Utama (SCU) which manages core services, data storage and management services, as well as telecommunication and vessels, including vehicle tracing. Next, PT Patra Nusa Data (PND) which manages geo data management and information management solutions.

PT Elnusa Trans Samudera (ETSA), another Elnusa subsidiary, handles barges, marine support, and seismic vessel activities. Meanwhile, PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN) manages integrated chemical supply and services such as chemical engineering formulas. Elnusa Petrofin also conducts integrated infrastructure services, integrated fuel management services, integrated fuel supply trading, and integrated logistics services. "Lastly, PT Elnusa Fabrication Construction (EFK) which carries out fabrication and construction as well as maintenance services and oil tools," he said.

Fahran emphasized that in running the business, Elnusa was not satisfied with just running business as usual. Innovation continues to be carried out to attract business partners who are targeting job optimization.

One of them, like Elnusa, has succeeded in innovating drilling in shallow seas through the Hydraulic Workover Unit Drilling. This innovation adds to the company's ability to drill in various conditions, both land and water.

"Hydraulic Workover Unit Drilling has successfully supported Pertamina Hulu Mahakam in the Mahakam block to be able to produce oil and gas reserves there," said Farhan.

Drilling using Rig HWU 340K (EHR12) in five shallow water wells. Through this unit, Elnusa also offers integrated services ranging from drilling, cementing, drilling fluid services and barge services. "This is the first time this has been done in Indonesia and can save about 10 percent of costs with zero lost time injury," said Farhan.

Another innovation is in water and mud management services from drilling activities or High Inhibitive Water Base Mud (HIWBM). The HIWBM drilling was implemented in 38 wells in three fields, namely in Tambun, Subang, and Jatibarang. The advantages of this program are cost efficiency and environmental friendliness.

Seismic survey innovation was also carried out by Elnusa which was able to answer the challenges of carrying out the search for oil and gas reserves during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely the First Break Nodal Positioning Method. "This innovation is successful in supporting the PHE Region 2 survey in the OSES Block to get the best data on offshore Ambar," said Fahran. (*)
