Preventing Dengue Fever, SATGAS EER Carries Out Fogging at Ring Satu Graha ELNUSA

Jakarta, 13 November 2020 - PT Elnusa Tbk (ELNUSA) again shows its social concern for the environment at Ring 1 Graha Elnusa by anticipating the emergence of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) by conducting fumigation or fogging (12/11).

ELNUSA anticipated this in the first ring of Graha Elnusa, which was previously submerged in floods at several points in the Cilandak Timur-South Jakarta Sub-district. The remaining standing water after the flood can be a potential breeding ground for the Aedesaegypti mosquito, which can transmit dengue fever. Elnusa conducts fogging in the area of the Cilandak Timur sub-district in three Neighborhood Associations with a total coverage of 560 families.

Elnusa's Head of Corporate Communications - Wahyu Irfan said, "In the midst of being vigilant against the spread of COVID-19, we continue to be intensified, but we also don't forget to be vigilant in anticipating the emergence of dengue cases. We also continue to urge the public through the SATGAS Elnusa Emergency Response (EER) team to actively participate in preventing mosquito breeding, especially with the 3M pattern, namely, drain, bury, and close. The current weather, which often rains heavily, is certainly prone and triggers puddles in the home environment, and this must be watched out together ”.

"As a form of ELNUSA's concern for the environment, ELNUSA also collaborates with larva monitoring officers (Jumantik) in the area around Graha ELNUSA who continue to intensify the socialization of dengue prevention. So before the outbreak, we actually took a quick stance to do fogging in order to maintain common health for the residents around Graha Elnusa. " Wahyu Said.
