Jakarta, October 28, 2021 – As an Elnusa's responsibility commitment for Indonesian education and in order to prepare superior Human Resources (HR), CSR PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa) consistently held the ninth Elnusa Leader Sharing & Action (ELSA) virtually with titled 'Good Corporate Governance' (GCG) (21/10). This CSR activity refers to ISO 26000: Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) goal 4, namely Quality Education.
Dr. Uswatun Hasanah as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Jakarta State University (UNJ) began the event by welcoming and expressing her gratitude for Elnusa's initiation in providing insight sharing sessions to UNJ students. "Theme of 'Good Corporate Governance' or corporate regulatory governance is a standard regulation used by companies up to an international scale to provide knowledge of UNJ students to pursue a career as professionals in their respective fields after completing their studies later." In her speech, Uswatun also expressed her gratitude that UNJ had received a donation in the form of a Head-Truck from Elnusa Subsidiary, namely PT Elnusa Petrofin (Petrofin) which has been used by students for learning practice activities at the Faculty of Engineering, especially the Mechanical Engineering Study Program.
Elsa program this time filled by two speakers, namely Chief of Legal and Compliance Elnusa, Asmal Salam who presented the first session material on what GCG is, which is a good corporate governance must have a structure to regulate the pattern of harmonious relations about the role of the Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, General Meeting of Shareholders and other Stakeholders. "By implementing GCG, the company will bring its own benefits. One of them is to improve the reputation of respecting shareholder rights and ensuring financial accountability and transparency so that it will gain public trust," Asmal said.
The second session was continued by Vice President of Geoscience & Reservoir Services Elnusa, Muhlis Yadi delivered material on GCG Implementation in Elnusa. Elnusa's commitment to GCG practices includes, the preparation of documents related to corporate governance followed by the commitment of establishing a Whistleblowing System (establishing guidelines for Elnusa's violation system to sanction violations. "Elnusa's position as a public company as well as part of Pertamina Group makes GCG an important factor in maintaining the sustainability of the company's business," he said.
After the presentation and Q&A session, the event closed with a photo session with the participants sharing session, a knowledge quiz about the presentation material as well as the announcement of lucky participants who had uploaded photos of the sharing session event on Elnusa's Instagram. Participants also received an E-Certificate Elnusa Leader's Sharing & Action.
