Kolaka, 26 November 2021 – To support the increase in the availability of LPG (Elpiji) in the Southeast Sulawesi Region, PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN) a subsidiary of PT Elnusa Tbk held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Pertamina's Liquefied Petroleum Gas (TLPG) Terminal project in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province on Friday morning, November 26, 2021. The location of the activity is to the southeast of the Pertamina Kolaka Fuel Terminal in the Kolakaasi area.
The groundbreaking conducted by EPN is an effort to support Pertamina (Persero) in maintaining LPG reserves and also in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources 2157 K/lO/MEM/2017 regarding the construction of LPG storage facilities and infrastructure.
This activity was attended by President Director of PT Elnusa Petrofin Haris Syahrudin along with other members of the Board of Directors of Elnusa Petrofin, VP Joint Terminal Service Operation Subholding Commercial & Trading PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Isnanto Isnanto Suseno, Executive GM Marketing Operation Region VII (Sulawesi) Pertamina Agus Dwi Djatmoko. In addition, the Regent of Kolaka, Mr. H. Ahmad Safei, SH. MH and the ranks of the Kolaka Regency Forkominda and also the ranks of the heads of related offices.
In the future, the Kolaka LPG Terminal will be integrated with the Kolaka Fuel Terminal with a land area of approximately 9,589 m2 for the location of TLPG facilities and an area of 2,718 m2 as an area for the construction of LPG Terminal facilities. So the total area for the construction of the Kolaka LPG Terminal is 12,000 m2.
The construction of the Kolaka LPG Terminal includes a Spherical Tank with a capacity of 2 x 1,500 MT with complete LPG Pump facilities, Loading Bay to LPG Skid tanks, and adequate operational support facilities with an estimated completion of construction for 24 months.
On this occasion, a symbolic CSR was also given to the Nursyamzam Islamic Education Foundation as a form of Elnusa Petrofin towards education in the region.
Haris Syahrudin as the President Director of PT Elnusa Petrofin in his speech said that the existence of the LPG Terminal was able to support the fulfillment of LPG needs, especially in Southeast Sulawesi and encourage the acceleration of the local economy.
Meanwhile, VP Joint Terminal Service Operation Subholding Commercial & Trading PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Iswanto Suseno said "This groundbreaking is a form of commitment to the energy sovereignty of the Pertamina Group for the community and the state. And we thank you for the support of all parties for the construction of the Kolaka LPG Terminal,” concluded Iswanto.
