ELNUSA Carries Out Social Actions in the Form of Sacrificial Animals to Remote Areas

Jakarta, July 11, 2022, PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa) commemorates Eid al-Adha 1443H by holding 81 cows and 153 goats. The sacrificial animals will be distributed to 23,463 beneficiaries, namely the sohibul qurban and mustahik around the first ring of Head Office Graha Elnusa Jakarta, Cakung Warehouse, BSD Warehouse and all Elnusa Group operating areas spread throughout the country.

In an effort to avoid slaughtering sick or suspected sick animals so as to ensure the results of the sacrifices are safe and suitable for consumption, this year Elnusa is again collaborating with Ciputat Slaughterhouse (RPH), South Tangerang. The ceremony for spreading the sacrificial animals was held directly from RPH and witnessed by online.

Of all the total sacrificial animals collected by Elnusa Group, at this RPH Elnusa mandated 20 cows and 5 goats to be slaughtered and managed by the Baitul Hikmah Elnusa Foundation (YBHE). The rest of the slaughter was carried out in all Elnusa Group's operating areas, namely the EIR Balikpapan operation area, the LMP-OFS project, the EPC-OM project, GRS Vibroseismic project in Probolinggo & Lumajang, PT Elnusa Trans Samudera (ETSA) operating area in Balikpapan, Handil & Samarinda, PT Elnusa Fabrication Construction (EFK) operating area in Batam, Cepu, Bojonegoro & Sukowati, PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN) operating area in various parts of Indonesia and the operational area of PT Sigma Cipta Utama (SCU) & PT Patra Nusa Data (PND) in South Tangerang.

Elnusa's Finance Director, Bachtiar Soeria Atmadja, who was present at the event said "Apart from being a form of the company's social & environmental contribution, we can use Elnusa to spread these sacrificial animals as a momentum of togetherness and sharing."

Bachtiar added that the distribution of the sacrificial animals was a clear proof of the implementation of the three SOE moral values, namely Trust, Harmony and Collaboration. "Today's activity is not just one individual or one entity, but a harmonious collaboration starting from the parent company, Elnusa subsidiaries, Elnusa Group employees as well as YBHE. The spirit of collaboration is also reflected in the increase in the number of sacrificial animals in 2022, which rose by 21% from the number of sacrificial animals in the previous year.”

Continuing innovation in the previous year's qurbani, Elnusa again converted 2 cows to be processed according to sharia into shredded beef. Processing will be carried out through the empowerment of home industries assisted by the Indonesian Zakat Initiative (IZI). The processed beef floss will later be handed over to the community victims after the eruption of Mount Semeru at the end of 2021 as a continuation of the Elnusa Emergency Response (EER) program.

Elnusa Spreading Sacrificial Animals is one of the company's environmental social contribution programs which is expected to be able to provide benefits and the meaning of togetherness and sharing in living life to seek the blessings and pleasure of the creator.
