Jakarta, July 26, 2021 - PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa) continues to be committed to support Government in handling the Covid-19 pandemic, which has experienced a high spike in positive cases in recent weeks. The availability of hospital beds for COVID-19 patients, oxygen cylinders, and ambulances is increasingly being sought to treat patients who are confirmed positive.
As a form of support for Elnusa Group employees and families, the Board of Directors activated the Elnusa Emergency Response Team through the Elnusa Emergency Response (EER) program to seek assistance in the form of ambulances and oxygen cylinders. The procurement of this assistance is also in collaboration with the Elnusa Medical Team, all subsidiaries of the Elnusa Group, as well as donations from Elnusa officers managed through the Baitul Hikmah Elnusa Foundation (YBHE).
Currently there are 2 ambulances and an additional 2 Elnusa operational cars which have been converted into backup emergency cars. These four cars are ready to be used to carry patients and the necessary medical equipment such as oxygen cylinders complete with regulators, to wheelchairs. On this occasion, the driver of the Elnusa operational vehicle was also given training on how to drive in an emergency to first aid for patients. Indeed, this assistance is still given to the Elnusa family and officers, due to limited resources.
Elnusa Corporate Secretary – Ari Wijaya said, the Company will try its best for Elnusa Officers & Families who need this emergency assistance. To date, 19 medical oxygen cylinders with a capacity of 1m3 have been actively used since July 9, 2021. "We are committed to continuing to increase the supply of oxygen cylinders as long as supplies last."
However, for broader purposes, Elnusa through its subsidiary PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN) started last week actively through the Petrofin Peduli CSR program to distribute 24 Tons of Liquid Oxygen to several hospitals in Greater Jakarta.
"Through the assistance provided by Elnusa Group, namely Petrofin Peduli, this is clear evidence of the spirit of mutual cooperation of Elnusa officers in accelerating the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. Let's pray and strive together so that this Covid-19 emergency situation ends soon," said Ari.
