Jakarta, October 5 2021 - PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa) supports the construction of the New Semberah Oil Plant (NSOP), Sangatta Field which is now under the management of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia Regional 3 Zone 9. For the success of completing the work with excellent quality, Elnusa received appreciation from the management of Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) who held the inauguration of the NSOP facility on Wednesday (29/9) and was attended by the President Director of PHI Chalid Said Salim.
PHI President Director Chalid Said Salim conveyed that the operation of this station is a manifestation of the results of the efforts of all parties who collaborate to provide better benefits to the company, for which he gives his appreciation. He hopes that the implementation of the Golden rules and aspects of HSSE that have been going well during construction can be improved so that they continue to work safely in their operations.
The work, which began in May 2020 until September 2021, was successfully carried out with zero work accidents, and recording 302,397 total safe working hours.
Elnusa's role in this work is as the main contractor for the construction of the Oil Plant covering the scope of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of the main facilities along with all supporting infrastructure including mechanical, piping, electrical and instruments, commissioning, to start-up. With the NSOP facility, the oil produced can be directly flowed (flowline) to Semberah Plant 14 Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS). This new facility will replace the oil delivery method using road tanks.
Director of Operations concurrently Director of Business Development Rony Hartanto said, the completion of this Oil Plant facility construction project is a evidence to Elnusa's competence and capability in supporting upstream oil and gas activities, especially in Pertamina, as well as a form of collaboration and synergy between subsidiaries within the Pertamina Group. “This project is a proof of Elnusa in supporting upstream oil and gas activities and national energy production. Hopefully this synergy can continue to support the national program of oil and gas production of 1 million bopd in 2030.” he said.
