Ho Chi Minh City, 18 June 2019 - PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa) received an award from SOCO Exploration Vietnam Ltd (SOCO) for completing the Marine 2D Seismic & Magnetic Data Acquisition Survey on the Indochina Peninsula, Vietnam. This award was given directly by SOCO General Manager Vincent Duignan to President Director of Elnusa, Elizar P Hasibuan, who was handed over directly to the SOCO Operations Office, today (18/06).
At the closing ceremony of the project, Vincent Duignan said, “We thank you for completing this marine seismic survey. Elnusa team is very professional, capable of carrying out work on target, without loss of work time (LTI) and capable of producing excellent seismic data quality. “
Welcoming the appreciation, Elizar P Hasibuan expressed his gratitude for the award given. “The collaboration of this seismic survey is the first time between Elnusa and SOCO. We are grateful for the trust that has been given. Hopefully, Elnusa and SOCO can continue to work together and grow together in the future.”
Elnusa successfully completed the project faster than the duration stated in the contract. The success of this project is a matter of pride because it succeeded in shipping Indonesian-flagged seismic vessels, as well as proving that Elnusa has competent competencies to carry out oil and gas exploration abroad. In addition, these good results can be realized through the diversification of the Elnusa Group portfolio. In this case, Elnusa involved Elnusa Trans Samudera (ETSA) which is a subsidiary of Elnusa which has competence in marine support as well as vessel operator Elsa Regent.
Elsa Regent is the most sophisticated seismic ship in Indonesia currently headed by and manned by 100% native Indonesian. Elsa Regent has a capacity of up to 12 streamers with a length of each streamer reaching 10 km, making it ideal for carrying out seismic survey work in wide and deep ocean areas. Elsa Regent is able to produce subsurface 3D seismic images with very high quality and accuracy, capable of recording data when turning so that it is time and cost efficient, data recording can be carried out continuously and can produce raw data that can be processed directly.
At present, Elsa Regent is supporting Pertamina Hulu Energi to conduct a marine seismic survey in the North Sumatra Offshore Block. This work is a form of synergy between Pertamina Group and is expected to be completed in 21 days.
With a long experience of 50 years, Elnusa is increasingly establishing itself as an energy services company that is able to provide total solutions to customers. Elnusa, total solution energy services company. ***
