Jakarta, June 17, 2019. PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa) starts 2D marine seismic surveys in the Andaman Sea North Sumatra Offshore (NSO) Block, Aceh Province. Previously, Elnusa had completed a marine survey also at the end of May 2019, the Indochina Peninsula, Vietnam.
This marine seismic survey also uses Elsa Regent, an Indonesian-flagged seismic survey vessel were 100% operated by Indonesian. Elsa Regent will wade through the northern waters of Indonesia which borders Thailand and Malaysia for 21 days with a total length of survey paths 1800 km. The project’s kick-off meeting was held on Thursday (13/06) in Elsa Regent, Batam, Riau Islands.
Director of Operations Elnusa, Arief Riyanto stated, “This survey is the 9th survey using Elsa Regent seismic vessels since 2016. The client’s trust has proven that Elnusa has the competence and experience to support the implementation of marine seismic surveys.
